I signed up for BlogTV.com last night. I hope to see some of you in my chatroom there soon.
Last night I caught a burlesque show in Fullerton, CA. So I was surfing Youtube looking for more and surfed across my namesake, the blonde using Ruby Valentine. I'd like to get my stage name back but I don't know how. At least she's a good dancer.
Anyway, here are some photos from last night's show.
I just joined Twitter under the name Zenchantress. I would put a link but the site seems to be down just now. Twitter asks one question: What are you doing right now? And then you have 140 characters to answer, but you can update as often as you like. Stream of consiousness social networking. Add me to yours if you are on Twitter.
I've been meeting lots of new hypnosis fetish people over at http://www.hypnotize.me.com/hypnotize/Zelena
They have a forum and chatrooms for people interested in all aspects of hypnosis. Everyday I run into old friends and new ones. If you are into hypnosis at all, it's worth a looksee.
I was doing some candle magic and as I was lighting the second candle a TV commercial started playing the "It's magic, never believe it's not so" song. Alrighty then. :)
Hypnosis hinges on being suggestible, so how suggestible are you? When people yawn, do you yawn? When the chatroom you are in starts discussing brownies and cookies and chocolate covered strawberries do you find yourself salivating or racing to the kitchen? Do you gain weight because every time you see someone eating, you eat too? Those are all signs that you are very suggestible. Don't feel bad. Most of us are in that boat with you. Advertisers count on us being suggestible. Hypnosis can train you to be less suggestible to the things you don't want in your life and more suggestible to the things you do want in your life. In other words, you can train yourself to want to exercise more and eat less. Or whatever other goals you have. Learn to control your spending, increase your memory, etc.
I just made a little hypnosis slide show. I tried to add the widget to vox, but it was cut in half in the side bar. So if you'd like to see it, here's a url: http://www.slide.com/r/2I7kNMg_7T-f36cQHIkhmiVkzoiBaEB8?previous_view=mscd_embedded_url&view=original
If it doesn't work please let me know.
This morning I was in a hypnosis chatroom and the room 'expert' said that the words themselves are irrelevant in a trance situation.
Well, yes, cadence and delivery and tone of voice all matter, but that doesn't mean the words no longer matter. In fact, under hypnosis every word is taken quite literally, and if you throw in a bunch of nonsense words the person will often wake up and go 'Huh?"
It is true that if you drone on in a monotone like a PBS documentary on trains, you can induce hypnosis. And the person may well nod off on you. But if your goal is to get the hypnotized person to do certain things (obey commands), wording things correctly is very important. And they need to hear and understand exactly what you are saying. You don't necessarily have to speak loudly, but you do need to speak clearly.

You just have to be persistent and keep your eyes and ears open for someone in your area. read more
